Tips for Using Cell Phones in Europe:

Coverage
Most American service providers offer basic coverage in Europe for about $10 per day; however, the amount and speed of data will vary by carrier. Remember, if you DO NOT intend to use your phone overseas (other than while connected to Wi-Fi), ensure that you TURN OFF your device’s international roaming feature.

SIM Card
You may purchase a SIM card which will provide service throughout most of Continental Europe; however, doing so will generate a European number, and installation may prove difficult. Purchasing an eSIM is also possible for newer devices.

Charging
Don’t forget that you’ll need an international power adapter (preferably with a built-in USB port) in order to properly charge your device.
